MOSI’s “Stars, Stripes & Science” Is a Grand Slam Fourth of July Celebration for All Ages

Throughout the All-American evening, take in live music performances, explore hands-on exhibits and activities, and score a hit with our National Pastime: The Tampa Bay Rays Street Team will be on-site with interactive activities and branded giveaways, while the Tampa Baseball Museum will showcase a special pop-up exhibit highlighting the rich history of baseball in Tampa.

“Stars, Stripes & Science brings together everything our community loves: music and fun, hands-on discovery, and getting together with friends. And, since it’s MOSI, we’re doing it in a way that makes the Fourth of July feel both familiar and new,” said MOSI CEO John Graydon Smith. “We wanted to create an event that offers something for everyone and gives families a unique way to celebrate together.”

Try out a variety of complimentary food and beverage samples from community partners, with Mel’s Hot Dogs available for purchase. Beer from Tampa’s own Coppertail Brewing Co. will be on draft, and MOSI’s Beakers Bar is serving up adult and kid-friendly drink options throughout the event.

Plus, MOSI is blasting off a new immersive fireworks experience inside the Holloway Digital Dome Theatre, home of the Saunders Planetarium.

Using 8K video projection on a 10,000 square foot wraparound screen, stunning images of fireworks will surround you with color and light.

The schedule includes both a traditional presentation and a sensory-friendly option with lower volume.

Stars, Stripes & Science highlights include:

• Baseball activations with the Tampa Bay Rays and a special pop-up exhibit from the Tampa Baseball Museum
• Live music performances from the Julie Black Duo
• Hands-on science and interactive activities
• Family-friendly programming throughout the evening
• A variety of food and beverage offerings, including complimentary samples from community partners
• Immersive fireworks experiences inside the Holloway Digital Dome Theatre, home of the Saunders Planetarium (sensory-friendly experience at 4:30 p.m.)
• VIP ticket experience (limited availability): Upgraded ticket for 360-degree views of Tampa’s fireworks from the Dome Rooftop with exclusive telescope viewings of the night sky.
