Dinosaur Discoveries: Ancient Fossils, New Ideas is an exciting exhibition that highlights the latest advancements in dinosaur research!

Build and launch chemical rockets and design a space station as you discover the science behind exploring the stars. Don’t miss signing up for the Astronomy Camp-in as well to get two badge workshops in one weekend!

You’ve minded for diamonds, traded emeralds, and built a portal to a whole new realm. Now it’s time to put your skills to the test in MOSI’s Minecraft Mania! Play and learn while tackling individual, small group, and full-team challenges that you build your computer skills as you work on perfecting your strategies, enchanting your armor, or even learn some basic coding as you defend your city from an alien attack!

Spend a fun filled evening at MOSI exploring the cosmos! Gaze into the night sky with telescopes, learn the stories behind the constellations in the Saunders Planetarium. The camp-in includes the Astronomy merit badge workshop, light snack, sleeping at MOSI, light breakfast, a MOSI Fun Patch for scouts, and general admission to MOSI after the event. At least 1 adult chaperone required per 10 children.

Discover the science of flight. Feel the wind and challenge of design and building flying machines. Apply Bernoulli’s principle as you test pilot a variety of flying contraptions.

Join us at the Museum of Science and Industry’s Science Park for a two-hour telescope tutoring session. 

Bring your own telescope and learn how to set it up, align it, and explore the night sky like a pro.  Our space experts will guide you through the basics, helping you unlock the wonders of astronomy from your own backyard.

Pre-registration is required at least two weeks in advance.

Join MOSI astronomers for a night of stargazing! Celebrate Pi day by observing a wonderful Full Moon, look at the Orion Nebula and Pleiades star clusters, spot elusive Mercury and Venus in the evening dusk, and view Mars and Jupiter in the skies overhead.

Join us at MOSI for our 4th annual Water Days on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, from 10 am to 2 pm! In celebration of World Water Day MOSI will host a free public event in collaboration with the presenting sponsor, Tampa Bay Water, and the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council. This family-friendly event will feature multiple stations with educational activities led by our fantastic community partners, experts in the field and MOSI instructors. The event aims to educate and empower the Tampa Bay community and frontline communities most affected by local issues related to stormwater and water sustainability.
