COMMUNITY IMPACT

Igniting curiosity and exploration in Tampa Bay

MOSI is a non-profit organization and community hub in Tampa Bay. We partner closely with Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk and surrounding counties to bring science to life for all ages. Some of the big ways we do that is through supporting teachers directly, with educational programs and events at the museum itself, and by going out into the community with hands-on outreach programs.

Educator Support

MOSI is both a partner and a resource for local teachers and schools. MOSI supports all teachers with free memberships, teacher trainings, and a wide selection of educational programming for the classroom. MOSI regularly supports school initiatives with help from our sponsors with free events like Science Olympics, Water Days Fest, and more.

Groups & Field Trips

Educational programs and field trips bring science to life for students and groups everyday. By making STEAM both fun and accessible, our hands-on programming inspires curiosity, confidence, and science literacy in the students of today and the leaders of tomorrow. Last year alone MOSI reached more than 38,000 students with group and field trip programming.

MOSI In Motion Outreach

MOSI is committed to accessibility and community involvement. Whether a school wants to maximize their STEAM programming, or isn't able to make it to MOSI itself, our MOSI in Motion Mobile Science Team can bring all the excitement of a field trip on the go! Schools can choose the topic and style that works for them with curriculum that support Florida State Science Standards.

Ticket Donation Requests

MOSI receives ticket donation requests from hundreds of organizations for fundraising events and charitable causes. Thanks to the generosity of friends, corporate partners and foundations, we are able to help our community by granting a limited number of requests each year.

If your non-profit organization's request is approved, the MOSI policy allows for the receipt of (1) Party of 5 Membership good for six months. Please see the Ticket Donation Request form for full details.
