Artemis II Launch Watch Party

Guests will watch the launch broadcast in real time from the all-new Saunders Planetarium on its 1-year anniversary!
Artemis II will send four astronauts on a 10-day mission around the Moon. The flight will test key systems for future exploration. This includes the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the Orion spacecraft. It will be the first time these systems carry a human crew.

Artemis II Launch Watch Party FAQ's
Is a live launch guaranteed?
No. Launch decisions are at the sole discretion of NASA and will not be made for an attempt to launch until system checks are complete. As teams evaluate the rocket, spacecraft, ground systems, and crew, they will gain the information necessary to formalize a date in the available windows. Launch opportunities also depend on orbital mechanics; the Moon must be in just the right position for the mission’s planned trajectory.
What happens if the launch is postponed?
If NASA and Artemis Flight Operations scrub the launch for the designated date and time, a launch attempt may be made the following evening according to the launch windows determined by NASA.
What happens to my tickets if the launch is postponed?
Tickets will automatically roll over to the next launch window’s date and time. Please watch your email for any correspondence from Reservations@mosi.org
Is this event family-friendly?
Yes, this event is for space fans of all ages. VIP tickets are only available to those 21+
Will I receive updates if plans change?
Yes, those who have registered will receive updates via email and on-site announcements when information becomes available.
What happens if launch is delayed while the event is happening?
If notice of a launch delay is received after 5:30 PM on April 1, or during the event, the event will continue as planned that evening. Guests will be invited to return on the next available launch window to watch the live stream from the Saunders Planetarium. Please note that activities and VIP experiences will not be repeated.
If the launch is delayed prior to the start of the event, the full event—including activities and VIP experiences—will be rescheduled for the next available launch window.
