Immerse yourself in the universe by visiting the Saunders Planetarium. Experience a night under the stars and learn about the cosmos.
Sit back and relax as you explore the universe with one of several space science films. Then, let MOSI’s dedicated astronomers take you on a tour of the night sky. From the distant past to the far future, get ready to ask all your burning questions about the nature of our universe.
There is no re-entry to the planetarium. If you choose to leave during the show, you will not be able to re-enter, and your ticket will not be refunded. Please use the restroom prior to entry. Food and drink are not permitted inside the planetarium.

When are the showtimes for the planetarium?
On a regular day, slots are typically offered at 11 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm. Some times may be unavailable to accommodate school groups and private events. Check the showtimes available for each day on MOSI's ticket purchasing website, shop.mosi.org. Click below to view dates and times and to purchase your tickets in advance.
Do I need to reserve tickets?
Yes, tickets to planetarium showtimes are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis at the box office and online. Showtimes vary; please refer to the calendar at the link below for more information.
Can I leave and re-enter?
No, there is no re-entry to the planetarium for guests who choose to leave early. Please be sure to use the bathroom or take care of any personal needs prior to entry. Refunds will not be issued for early departure
Can I bring food or drink into the show?
Food and drink are not permitted inside the planetarium.
What does the show consist of?
Each planetarium show consists of a short space science film, a brief live stargazing journey, and an opportunity for a Q&A session with a MOSI astronomer.
Is there an age requirement?
There is no age requirement for the planetarium shows, but we recommend that guests be at least 4 years old to ensure they can sit and listen for the entire 45 minutes.
Can I reserve a private show?
Yes! Private planetarium showings can be reserved at least 2 weeks in advance. Please contact us at reservations@mosi.org for more information.
