Easy as Pi: MOSI Celebrates Pi Day with Science and Samples

TAMPA, FL (March 10, 2026) – MOSI, Tampa’s Museum of Science & Innovation, is serving up a celebration of the mathematical magic of Pi Day on March 14 (that’s 3.14) with a unique event. Celebrate everyone’s favorite irrational number by taking a math-powered tour of the night sky, adding your own colors to a paint-by-numbers mural, and enjoying complimentary pie!

Included with admission, explore engaging activity stations and live demonstrations that highlight patterns, measurement, and problem-solving.

Take your turn adding to a collaborative Paint-by-Numbers Mural that will grow more impressive throughout the day. Just like lots of calculations depend on pi, MOSI is depending on you to make your mark on this group artistic effort.

Lean back and be amazed by a star tour in the Saunders Planetarium. This special tour of the night sky will uncover the ways math has opened up new tools to explore the universe.

Complete your Pi Day festivities with a free sample of delicious pie, thanks to sponsors Publix Supermarket and Mike’s Pies, while supplies last. Dave’s Hot Chicken will also be serving up tasty samples.

For an additional charge, pick up a Pi Booklet packed with even more fun hands-on activities for curious minds. Complete the booklet to earn a special prize! Plus, you can redeem your booklet for extra treats.
