Homeschool IFAS Special Series Detail

MOSI offers age-appropriate, hands-on science classes to help supplement science and technology skills each month!

MOSI has partnered with the University of Florida and Hillsborough County 4-H to offer a special six-part homeschool series for the fall. The Fall semester’s theme is LEGO Simple Machines. These classes are held on the 3^rd and 4^th Tuesday of each month from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Fall Semster

LEGO Simple Machines

Ages 8 - 14 | Series Fee: $60, Member Series Fee: $50 | 1pm - 3pm

The Lego Simple Machines activities is designed for grades 2-8. The students will work in pairs to build, investigate, and learn from the models. Each activity encourages the students to involve themselves in real world investigations and and problem solving. They will make assumptions or predictions, then build the models and observe the behavior of the models; they reflect the redesign, record and present
their findings.

Class Dates: September 17th & 24th, October 22nd & 29th, and November 12th & 19th

Last day to register: August 31st
