Celebrating its FIFTH year at MOSI, Water Days returns on March 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. In collaboration with presenting sponsor, the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, MOSI will get your brain going and your body moving through immersive, hands-on activities designed to explore the critical challenges of water shortages, pollution, and long-term sustainability.
“As we celebrate five years of Water Days at MOSI, we’re committed now more than ever to educating the next generation about one of the most precious resources in Tampa Bay,” said MOSI CEO John Graydon Smith.
“Whether it’s mastering stormwater science or starting some simple conservation habits at home, we’re here to help you explore the vital role you’re playing right now in protecting our environment. It’s about taking those big, complex challenges and making them accessible, interactive, and—most importantly—fun.”
At Water Days, you’ll experience multiple stations with educational activities led by community partners, experts in the field, and MOSI educators. The event will include hands-on activities dealing with stormwater education and environmental science, as well as giveaways related to water sustainability. The event aims to educate and empower the people of Tampa Bay and the frontline communities most affected by local issues related to stormwater and water sustainability.
Additionally, a select number of Title I schools will participate in a special School Field Trip Day on Friday, March 27 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Participating schools will enjoy FREE Water Days programming along with admission to MOSI at no cost.
