SCRABBLE FUN DAY
November 28, 2009
11 am - 3 pm In celebration of National Game and Puzzle Week, MOSI will be hosting a Scrabble Fun Day with puzzling activities for the whole family. From 11 am to 3 pm, visitors can challenge players from the National Scrabble Association to a competitive style game. Guests can also watch two scrabble experts play each other and learn the strategies and ideas behind competitive scrabble play. Additionally, the National Scrabble Association will be displaying Scrabble memorabilia and boards.

MOSI Hosting Microscopic Art Exhibit
Now through January 3, 2010, MOSI is hosting more than sixty images of microscopic crystals of Aspirin® and Tylenol® doped with coffees, teas, wines, beers and spirits, over the counter pharmaceuticals, and tropical fruit extracts. The exhibition is called “Art in Science -- Science in Art,” and was created by acclaimed “Art Microscopist” T. H. Saunders.
“Art in Science – Science in Art” is on display in the MOSI Arc Gallery until January 3, 2010. Admission to the Arc Gallery is included with MOSI admission.
Teddy Bear Round-Up
December 1-15, 2009
In partnership with the Rough Riders, MOSI will be accepting donations of teddy bears to be given to children in bay area hospitals. Visitors donating a teddy bear, or any stuffed animal, will receive a free child’s admission.

See the universe up-close and personal through MOSI's telescopes. See craters on the moon. Watch as another planet's moons slowly perform a gravitational dance. See stellar nurseries where stars are being formed. See star clusters so far away that light-traveling at 186,000 miles per second-takes tens of thousands of years to make it to your eye. SkyWatch is free and open to the public.
Weather permitting – clear skies are required to use the telescopes, SkyWatch will be cancelled if it is raining or cloudy.
