At MOSI, we have birthday parties down to a science!

Reserve your party now in MOSI's beautiful new party rooms! Our party rooms are located in Kids In Charge!, the largest children's science center in the nation. Relax and enjoy the party as our experienced staff takes care of all the details. All parties include a party room for an hour and a half party, choice of a party theme with science activity, and admission to our exhibit galleries. MOSI provides the decorations, paper goods, vanilla ice cream, and drinks. Cake, pizza, party trays, and goodie bags are also available.

Party Times: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m.

Choose from the following party themes. Each activity lasts approximately 20 minutes:

Butterfly Boogie
Discover all kinds of fun and interesting facts about butterflies. Create your own butterfly and take it home!

Dino-mite Dinos
Explore what makes a fossil stand the test of time. What does a paleontologist do? Make a fossil cast of a dinosaur tooth to take home.

Rainforest Creatures
Discover how rainforest animals camouflage themselves in the deepest parts of our Earth’s jungles. Design your own creature to take home.

Slimy Science
Matter is all around us, but we like to specialize in the type that squishes and oozes all around. Make a gooey batch to take home.

Wizards Workshop
For fans of Harry Potter, become a master of invisible writing with our clear potions. Do you have what it takes to be a contender in our fiery dueling club.

Planetary Explorers
Investigate the different parts of the space shuttle. See what makes rockets go, then rendezvous with a comet.

CSI: MOSI
Learn what it takes to be a forensic scientist. Examine blood cultures, lift finger prints and decipher hidden messages to solve the crime!

Gross Out Science
Ever wonder why blood is red? Why are intestines long? Create ooey gooey slime to take home.

Body Shop Birthday
Discover how your body repairs itself and then use special effects make-up to create your own bruise.

Astronaut Birthday Blast*
Calling all space cadets, bounce into the MOSI Astronaut Training Adventure for a 1-hour Inflata-Space experience. Based on your Inflata-space cadet rankings experience the challenges of a moon walk, alien world obstacle course, EVAC slide, or the EVA jump. Jump, bounce, and play with your friends. Adults can play too! Height and weight restrictions apply.

TEEN STAR PARTIES!! (Ages 12 and up)

Seeing Stars Party*
Enjoy a private planetarium show with your party and get a closer look at the stars in the sky. See what the night sky looks like on your current birthday, when you were born, and at future birthdays. Late afternoon and early evening hours available.

Be A Star Party*
See if you’ve got what it takes! Have a "ROCK BAND" party with your friends in our Coleman Science Works Theater! Create your own band, sing along, and challenge each other to music battles on our large screen. Late afternoon and early evening hours available.

Party Bags

The Science Store has themed, pre-packaged party bags that you can purchase for your guests. Don’t know exactly how many you’ll need? Party bags are fully returnable if unused. Please let us know the age range of your guests so we can create a party bag they'll love!
